Understanding screener reporting data
Updated over a month ago

When you have added screeners to your project, you are able to see reporting at an individual user-level and aggregated summary data.

Screener questions often cover demographics and experiences, so viewing screener responses helps you understand your participants more deeply.

Being able to review your screener data also helps to understand your project's overall performance, like how many participants will be needed to reach your desired response rate.

๐Ÿ’ก Slow or low response rate? Review how users are answering your screeners to optimise your questions or modify your recruitment plan.

Below is a breakdown of the three places you can find screener reporting data:

Screener data in Summary

For projects with screener responses, you will be shown Screener performance metrics at the top of the Summary. This gives a high level view of how many users entered your screeners, qualified or were disqualified.

Below the Screener performance metrics, you can also see more granular data on how participants answered each screener question:

At the bottom of each of these step summaries, you will see three metrics:

  • Entered: How many participants entered this screener step

  • Screened out: The number of users disqualified by their answer + users who abandoned the screeners at this question

  • Screened out rate: The percentage of users disqualified by their answer + users who abandoned the screeners at this question

As you can see in the above example, one participant was disqualified based on their answer, but two were screened out. This indicates that one user abandoned on this question without leaving an answer.

Note: Screened out responses aren't visible on the responses tab of your project.
