The Ballpark MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector connects your AI assistant to your Ballpark workspace. Build studies, recruit participants and analyze the results that come back, all from a conversation in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.
The whole research lifecycle is connected, from drafting and recruiting through to analysis. You can use Ballpark headlessly, wherever you work, so your assistant becomes a full research partner rather than a shortcut to one part of the process.
The Ballpark MCP connector is in beta. Some features roll out workspace by workspace, so you may not have all of them yet. Press the chat icon at the bottom right if something described here isn't available to you, or to tell us what would make it more useful.

What is the Ballpark MCP connector?
It's a remote MCP server that connects your AI assistant to Ballpark. Once it's connected, you can run research end to end without opening Ballpark at all.
For now you'll add Ballpark as a custom connector rather than picking it from a built-in list. We're submitting to the assistant directories, so this will become a one-click install.
What you can do
Build a study
Create a study. Describe your research goal and get a live study built directly in your Ballpark workspace, ready to review and refine.
Edit a study. Refine wording, add or change questions, and adjust tasks using natural language.
Ask about a study. Get answers about a study's current questions, intro, outro, settings or logic without leaving your assistant.
Recruit participants
Find an audience. Describe who you want to hear from and get up to three matching panel audiences back, each with a live count of how many people qualify and a note on what that option trades away.
Cost an order before you place it. See the participant count, how long it should take, the credits needed and the balance you'd have left. Nothing is charged at this point.
Place the order. Recruitment starts only when you confirm the order you were quoted. Your assistant won't choose an audience for you, won't guess a participant count, and won't spend credits without you saying so.
Analyze your results
Ask questions about your data. Themes across open-ended answers and AI interview transcripts, breakdowns by segment, comparisons between studies and between markets.
Search your studies. Find and reference past work by topic or name.

Setting it up
Open your AI assistant's settings for adding MCP servers. This varies by client, so check your assistant's documentation for where to add a remote MCP server.
Add Ballpark's MCP server using this URL:
https://edge.ballparkhq.com/api/mcpSave the connection. You'll be taken straight to Ballpark to authenticate your account through a secure OAuth flow. You never need to share a password with your assistant.
Once you're signed in, your assistant should confirm Ballpark is connected and you're ready to start.
Using a company-managed AI account? Custom connectors are sometimes restricted to admins on tools like Claude for Work, so you may need to ask your workspace admin to add Ballpark for you.
Using it
Talk to your assistant the way you would a colleague:
"Draft a study to understand why users abandon checkout on mobile."
"Add a question about first impressions before the tasks."
"Remove the last question, it's too leading."
"Find me 50 UK participants who are the main grocery shopper in their household."
"What did participants say about pricing in my last study?"
"Compare the results of my UK and US studies."
Your assistant shows a live preview as it works. When you're ready to publish, just say so. If you're not signed in yet, your assistant will walk you through connecting your account first.
